Capacity:12″ in Diameter & 2.5 Inches Deep

The deep pan is measured as 12 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches in depth. A few customers commented how big it is. It’s easy to feed a small to medium-sized family with this skillset. It also comes with a flat grill plate to be swapped in and out if needed. The deep pan is great for searing, browning, sautéing, stewing, and simmering. In fact, many customers use it for frying eggs, making French crepes and pancakes.

For those who are familiar with two Asian signature dishes, this skillet is perfect for cooking Chinese Hot Pot or Japanese Shabu Shabu or Korean tabletop barbecue.

Heating: Up to 480 Degrees F

The cooker consumes 1350 watts per hour at 120 volts. The heating element is built in the base of the body of the skillet. The deep pan and the grilling plate can be placed in or taken out in a snap. The body covers most of the deep pan as an insulation. The deep pan can be taken out by grabbing the two handles on each side. There are also two recess handles in the external body for easy transport. All the handles have stay-cool feature so they won’t burn your hands.

Easy to Use and to Clean

Temperature Control: The temperature ranges from 175 (warm) to 480 degrees F, which is hotter than most skillets on the market. The reading of the temperature is very accurate so you can adjust the horizontal lever from left to right to move the temperature from low to high.

The deep pan can be used on the stovetop burner directly. For example, if you are entertaining a big group of people for hot pot, you may want to heat up the chicken broth on the stove first and carefully carry the pot to the dinner table. This will expedite the boiling of the broth and save everyone some waiting time when it’s ready to serve.

The grill plate can’t be used directly on the stove though. So keep that in mind.

The deeo pan and the plate are made of titanium coated material which makes cleaning such a breeze. After cooking, you can clean the pan and the plate with warm soapy water and wipe them dry with a dish towel or a paper towel.

It’s better to use wooden, plastic or silicon utensil in the pan not to risk scratching the surface.

When you store the skillet, use a soft dish towel in between the deep pan and the grilling plate to prevent scratches.

Pros and Cons

  • The titanium-coating is praised by customers for being safe than the Teflon-coating cooking surface.
  • The deep pan and the grilling plate provide the flexibility to cook two things.
  • Some people use the cooker to do pretty much all the cooking, including making meatloaf.
  • The non-stick surface allows low to no-fat cooking.
  • The temperature control enables the person to decide how you’d like to cook your food on high, medium or low heat.
  • It’s mobile that some people even took it to their camping trips.
  • The skillet is designed with smart features such as stay-cool handles and recess handles on the main cooking vessel and the versatility to use the deep pan or the grill plate.
  • It’s very easy to clean and so convenient to take the deep pan out of the base to clean instead of dragging the entire heating element to the sink.

  • Like all Zojirushi products, it’s not cheap. But it’s so well-made that it will last for a long time.
  • Some people commented about the grilling plate is not flat. I think it’s designed on purpose so the drippings or fat can flow to the outer rim of the plate. It’s quite common in Korean restaurant to have similar design on their tabletop grills.
  • Some people complaint that it is too big. The dimensions are provided very clearly in the product description. I don’t understand why those people didn’t know about it before buying.
