This stylish rice cooker has a capacity size of 5.5 cup uncooked rice which yields 11 cups in cooked rice.

Heating Technology-Induction, Pressure + Fuzzy Logic

The ECJ-JG10W is the newest rice cooker in Sanyo’s product line with induction heating technology, pressure control and fuzzy technology. Dare I say the best of all worlds again?

Different from the conventional heating plate on the bottom of the external cooking vessel, induction heating heats up the entire inner cooking pot that has double-layer (2.5mm) extra-thick non-stick coating with round bottom and copper coated exterior for better conductivity and even heat distribution.

The pressurized heating system enables rapid rise of cooking temperature. The higher temperature alters the structure of starch in each grain. The fuzzy technology ensures the fine and instant adjustment of temperature and cooking time according to the types of grain you are cooking. All these lead to tastier and fluffier and perfectly cooked rice you’ve never imagined possible.

Easy to Use and Clean

Cooking is as easy as pouring rice, adding water and select a one-touch button. The rice cooker is designed with a safety locking device for pressure cooking so you don’t have to worry about the escaped steam.

Other Features

LCD and Timer: The 24-hour timer is designed for you to program the meal hours ahead of time so you don’t have to come home and wait around for dinner to be ready.

Menu Selections: On the outside of the LCD panel, there are settings for white rice, rinse-free rice, brown rice, sprouted brown rice, haiga rice, wild rice/zakkoko and steaming. On the insider, you’ll have the options to choose white rice texture (regular, firm or soft), quick cooking to cut down cooking time, mixed/sweet rice, sushi rice, porridge and and Korean signature dish Bibimbab.

A quick word on zakkoku. Zokkoku refers to cereal grains with nuts and seeds similar to buckwheat. There are over 15 kinds of cereal grains and most of them are packed with nutrients, vitamins, trace minerals and fiber. After a long-time decline, the cultivation of zokkoju has reclaimed its popularity with more health-conscious lifestyles. Cereal grains require a bit time and preparation before cooking. But it all has changed with the rice cooker such as this one that has a specific menu just for zakkoku.
